Graen

---

Graen is the pleroma, the core essence of creation. They are the central, eternal and polyphonic power from which all the Archons emanated. Graen is without definite form or gender, and comprises within themselves all possible ways of being. They have no ego. As such, they cannot be interacted with in the same way as their more defined emanations. They are simply the harmonious source of creation to which all things aspire to one day return.

Graen’s physical expression in the material universe is the star of the same name. Not only is this body the source of energy for the entire Azabel system, but it was also the point from which all matter emerged at the galaxy’s beginning. With the creation of the Archons, however, this matter was shaped into planets, personalities and bodies which could be more easily controlled by them.

Erzul was the first Archon to emanate from Graen, and so shaped the planet closest to the star. In the billions of years hence, five further Archons have emerged from Graen. Each Archon has taken control of a section of the Otherworld, where they can more easily bend reality to their will. Whether or not Graen knows they are parent to such beings is a mystery to even the Archons themselves.
