Fáilte is fichid romhat chuig ManasZines!
(Samhlaíg', le bhur dtoil, go bhfuil fada thar an gcéad "a" - is aoibhinn le ríomhairí iad a scríobh mar "@!%hasdjkh"...)

Is tionscnamh ealaíne de chuid Mánas Ó hAirt é ManasZines.

Cruthaím "zines" a dhéanann cur síos ar mo dhoimhneacha samhlaithe. Bhíos ag ceapadh ar dtúis go mbeidís ina "role-playing game settings", ach, bhuel... d'éiríodar ina dtionscadail ealaíne móra ansan. Tharraingíos ar fhantaisíocht, ar smaointe "DIY" agus ar an gceol is fearr liom chun doimhneacha a churthú atá beagán craiceáilte.

FANAÍG, LE BHUR DTOIL, GO RÉITEOD AN STUIF SEO

DOWNALLA was the first planet I discovered, found in dreams both waking and asleep. I like to call it "vegetarian post-fantasy" - it fuses my childhood love for stories like Redwall with my present more serious concerns about nature and diversity.

Downalla is a planet on which you will encounter the tree-born Miloko; the mischievous, hedgehog-like Gamaki, and the gargantuan Engoir. Much like our own world, it is a place where the essential diversity of life is under threat from pride and power; yet there is still hope.

It's like the Napoleonic era, but with giants. And talking birds.

CHANCERS INNA DUBSTYLE is a space operetta with a heavy dub reggae soundtrack. In a galaxy far from Downalla, cassettes sing with the spirits of long-dead folk. Gurriers, Wasters and Chancers compete on the streets, while Spacers are more concerned with the spiritual plain. From the Otherworld march ferocious Legions under the command of timeless Archons.

Chancers is a satirical, biodiverse sci-fi epic which blends Irish and Caribbean mythologies and languages. Think analoguepunk Cowboy Bebop with buckets of Hiberno-English and reggae culture.

I believe in honest-ta-god DIY stuff in my studio - I like to keep 'er analogue. I can just about suffer having a website - but old-school and ramshackle are best.
